Alpine Quarry – Jindabyne NSW
25,000 cubic metre high explosive blast to extract more material for McMahons Earth moving
Snowy Mountains Highway – Bega Valley NSW
Removal of oversize following a landslide that blocked the Snowy Mountains Highway at Brown Mountain. We used Nonex low impact non-detonating cartridges to break up the enormous boulders whilst minimising the impact on the road and surrounding landscape.
Maribyrnong Main Sewer Augmentation – Melbourne VIC
Part of a project for a new 1.2km gravity sewer to divert sewage flows from the Maribyrnong River Main (MRM) sewer into the larger North Western Sewer (NWS) in Maidstone, which transports wastewater to the Western Treatment Plant. We provided drilling and technical assistance for high explosives blasting, plus ground support for shaft walls and floor, blasting through 30m of volcanic basalt to excavate the TBM launch shaft.

Yongah Hill Immigration Detention Centre – WA
Large scale project, 33,000 m3 blasting consisting of trenches for services and waste water pond for the new Yongah Hill Immigration Detention Centre outside Northam, WA. High explosives were not an option in the project due potential damage to existing structures.
Rock Breaking Solutions were successful in completing all facets of the project on time and with perfect safety.
Agnes Water Seventeen Seventy Integrated Water Project – QLD
10 x 10 m shaft sinking for a new desalination plant in Agnes Waters, QLD. Rock Breaking Solutions was chosen due to the very close proximity to existing infrastructure and piping. The team was able to provide the solution for the works to continue without any damage to the surrounding pipework in a narrow confine.
Nuggets Crossing – Jindabyne NSW
Carpark expansion in close proximity to the centre of Jindabyne township, requested to remove some large boulders to allow for additional car parking in a very busy area. Challenging situation in very close proximity to shops, cars and the main road with people constantly in the vicinity and minimal exclusion zones.
