Alpine Quarry – Jindabyne NSW
25,000 cubic metre high explosive blast to extract more material for McMahons Earth moving
Maribyrnong Main Sewer Augmentation – Melbourne VIC
Part of a project for a new 1.2km gravity sewer to divert sewage flows from the Maribyrnong River Main (MRM) sewer into the larger North Western Sewer (NWS) in Maidstone, which transports wastewater to the Western Treatment Plant. We provided drilling and technical assistance for high explosives blasting, plus ground support for shaft walls and floor, blasting through 30m of volcanic basalt to excavate the TBM launch shaft.
Snowy Mountains Highway – Bega Valley NSW
Removal of oversize following a landslide that blocked the Snowy Mountains Highway at Brown Mountain. We used Nonex low impact non-detonating cartridges to break up the enormous boulders whilst minimising the impact on the road and surrounding landscape.

NoneX
NoneX technology is based on a non-detonating chemical compound. The chemical is enclosed in a cartridge that reacts very quickly when triggered, producing an elevated volume of non-noxious gas, primarily composed of nitrogen and carbon dioxide.
Fragmentor
The FRAGMENTOR’s internal components are activated at low pressure, to expand the external concentric seal that plugs the hole to contain the high pressure. The external seal contains concentric protrusions for sealing the pressure in the hole and to retain the Cartridge in position during the high heaving stage.
